‘I don’t forgive them’: Family wants justice after man beaten to death by kids in Providence

The family of the man who died after he was attacked by four children in Providence, Rhode Island, is now demanding justice and asking that the minors who allegedly killed him not be released.

“They killed him unjustly, he didn’t bother anyone, there is evidence that he didn’t assault the children,” said Ingrid Alonso, Rony Alonso’s sister. “When we arrived, we saw him in a coma, because he wasn’t speaking, he arrived unconscious.”

Police originally identified the victim in the Manton Avenue attack as 51-year-old Romy Alfonso, but police have since clarified that his name was Rony Alonso. Four minors have now been charged with murder in his killing…
