This Rhode Island Restaurant’s Family-Style Dinner Is a Local Favorite

If you grew up in Rhode Island, chances are, you dined out with your family at Wright’s Farm. Popular among families and as a venue for school sports banquets, baby showers, weddings, and the like, Wright’s Farm is a Rhode Island tradition filled with nostalgia and dishes that keep coming to the table once they’re empty. Dining here is family-style, with plates heaping with pasta, salad, rolls, and chicken brought to the table for you to share with friends and loved ones.

Dining at Wright’s Farm is synonymous with delicious comfort food, keeping locals coming back for more. Although it’s an all-you-can-eat restaurant in Rhode Island, it’s not a traditional buffet—food comes to you; no need to get up from the table every so often to refill your plate.

Wright’s Farm has been open in the small Rhode Island town of Burrillville for over 50 years, offering “Good Food for Good Times, Family Style.” It’s famous for its family-style chicken dinners, which are hard to beat in this state for taste, price, and the overall dining experience.

When sitting down at a table inside Wright’s Farm’s large dining room, you’ll have the option of the Family-Style Baked Chicken dinner with all-you-can-eat baked chicken, French fries, salad topped with Wright’s Farm house dressing, pasta topped with Wright’s Farm marinara, and fresh-baked rolls. However, you may opt for the 14-ounce steak, which comes with unlimited sides, but only one steak (the steak is not all-you-can-eat like the chicken). I’ve always opted for the family-style baked chicken, which is tender and incredibly tasty. You may also opt to add cranberry sauce and/or a slice of a vanilla-and-chocolate ice cream roll for an additional fee.

As one Google reviewer stated, “As an out-of-towner, Wright’s Farm feels like a chicken-fueled fever dream; a fantastical poultry casino.” There’s no other place quite like it in Rhode Island, and it’s one that has kept customers happy and full for decades. Wright’s is open Thursday and Friday, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. While reservations aren’t required, they are recommended, as this is a popular restaurant in Rhode Island. Takeout is also available Thursday through Sunday.

With fond memories of Wright’s Farm at the forefront of my mind, I am excited to dine here again on my next visit back home. Until then, I will dream of baskets of fresh-baked rolls, salad doused in my favorite salad dressing (made by Wright’s Farm, of course!), tender chicken, shell pasta covered in marinara, and home-style fries that are so good, I’ll probably need a refill before any of the other dishes. And I’ll certainly peruse the restaurant’s 4,000 square-foot gift shop and its selection of apparel, glassware, and food products, and pick up some Wright’s Farm Classic Italian Dressing and pasta sauce to take back home.

If you haven’t yet dined at Wright’s Farm, I urge you to pick a night to go with family and friends and indulge in an incredibly delicious meal. Wright’s Farm restaurant is perhaps the best place for all-you-can-eat, family-style meals in Rhode Island, and a one-of-a-kind dining experience as well. Visit the Wright’s Farm website for location, hours, and reservation information.
