Mount Hope Bridge reopens after crash

BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) — Drivers can once again travel across the Mount Hope Bridge after a crash just after noon on Tuesday temporarily closed both lanes.

Bristol police posted on Facebook around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday that the bridge was closed due to a multi-vehicle crash. The Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority (RITBA) reported that emergency personnel had responded to the scene.

By 1:30 p.m., RITBA posted that the accident had been cleared and the bridge was back open.
