The body of a Rhode Island man who tragically died from exposure to extreme cold late last month has been identified as Ryan J. Boisvert.
First responders were called to Washington Street in downtown Providence just before 5:00 a.m. on January 28, 2026, after reports of concern for an individual outside in freezing temperatures. They found the 48-year-old Narragansett resident unresponsive beneath a blanket on the sidewalk and pronounced him dead at the scene.
