Family of Narragansett man found dead in Providence cold snap speaks out

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — A 48-year-old Narragansett man who had been reported missing was found dead on a Providence street during January’s bitter cold snap, as temperatures dropped into the single digits, according to police and his family.

Ryan Boisvert was discovered under a blanket on Washington Street just before 5 a.m. on Jan. 28 after a Dunkin’ employee called 911, police said. An employee had seen him around 3:15 a.m. and believed he was breathing. After a delivery driver expressed concern, she went back outside to check on him and called for help.

Boisvert died three days shy of his 49th birthday…
