From Public Assistance Fraud to Drug Trafficking, Dozens Arrested in R.I.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — It was a relentless 48 hours across the Ocean State as the Rhode Island State Police and multiple task forces fanned out on fraud, drugs, domestic violence and DUI charges, racking up arrests from Warwick to Providence.

In Warwick, Murielle Fevry, 43, was arrested at her Hayley Road home on charges including Obtaining Property by False Pretenses/Personation Over 10,000 Assistance, Fraudulently Obtain Public Assistance Over 500, Fraudulent Use of Food Stamps Over 500, False Statement to Obtain Replacement Public Assistance Check Over 500, and Giving False Document to Agent, Employee, or Public Official. Troopers transported her to the Wickford Barracks before arraignment in Third District Court.

In Exeter, a motor vehicle accident on South County Trail led to the arrest of Robert S. Ferioli, 66, of Charlestown. He faces charges of Driving Under the Influence of Liquor/Drugs – B.A.C Unknown- First Offense and Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test – First Offense. He was processed at the Hope Valley Barracks, arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released with a notice to appear in Fourth Division District Court…
