Plainville firefighters honored for saving infant

PLAINVILLE – Fire Chief Robert Skinner recognized two members of his department for saving the life of 22-day old Dawson Becker during Monday’s meeting of the select board.

The baby, the first born this year at Newton-Wellesley hospital, aspirated milk and became unresponsive on Jan. 24 while in a car seat with his mother Courtney in the back of the family’s car as they were on their way to meet a grandparent.

Dawson’s father Andrew called 911 and rushed to the Plainville Fire Department less than a mile away where firefighters took action…
