For nearly three decades, a beloved Boston-born taqueria has been wrapping up comfort, community, and bold flavor in warm tortillas. Now, that experience is officially crossing state lines. On February 24, Anna’s Taqueria will open its first Rhode Island location at Garden City Center, bringing its cult-favorite burritos, bowls, and Mission District–inspired menu to Cranston.
Founded in 1995 with the goal of sharing homestyle Mexican street food, Anna’s Taqueria has built a loyal following throughout New England by focusing on fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a strong sense of community. That philosophy continues to guide the brand’s expansion, including four new locations opened in the past year and now, a long-anticipated debut in the Ocean State.
The new Garden City Center location is designed to feel bright, welcoming, and approachable. Spanning nearly 3,000 square feet, the space features high-top communal tables, booths, and traditional seating for 42 guests, making it a natural fit for quick lunches and casual dinners alike.
