A historic blizzard hit the SouthCoast Sunday night to Monday, with snowfall accumulations in many areas surpassing what fell during the infamous Blizzard of ’78.
The storm buried the region under more than two feet of snow, accompanied by strong winds, leaving thousands still without power. Outages in Greater Fall River were under 500 by Tuesday morning.
