The lights are back on for 99% of the 50,000 Rhode Island Energy customers who lost power when a historic blizzard descended upon the state Sunday night through Monday.
Less than 300 customers were still without power as of 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to a live outage map on Rhode Island Energy’s website. But the number fluctuated during the afternoon, reaching over 900 as of 5:30 p.m.
