CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Rhode Islanders who need to renew their driver’s license in February will now have more time to do so.
The R.I. Division of Motor Vehicles announced Thursday that due to the state of emergency declared by Gov. Dan McKee ahead of this week’s blizzard, expiration dates have been extended for certain documentation.
All Rhode Island driver’s licenses, permits and ID cards set to expire between Feb. 1 and Feb. 28 will now expire on March 31, 2026, according to the DMV. This does not include non-domiciled commercial driver’s licenses or commercial learner’s permits, the agency noted…
