Warwick Police are alerting the public to a grandparent scam.
The phone scam targets older adults with callers pretending to be an attorney by the name of Michael Dempsey who claims that a grandchild has been arrested and needs money for bail or legal fees.
The victim is told to withdraw money, and a courier will be sent to their home to collect the money…
