NEWPORT, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island State Police said they arrested a man on illegal weapons charges after he allegedly made threats of violence through social media posts.
According to state police, they received information from the U.S. Treasury Department in February about a man with “concerning social media posts.”
The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Alexander Bestoso of Newport, was found to be engaging in anti-government rhetoric, expressing racist views and making threats online, officials said…
