HOPE VALLEY, RI — A woman turned herself in to state police on multiple fraud charges Tuesday afternoon.
Troopers arrested Melanie A. Merritt, 45, of Warwick, at 12:43 p.m. at the Hope Valley Barracks.
Merritt faces charges of fraudulently obtaining public assistance over $500, fraudulent use of food stamps over $500, obtaining property by false pretenses or personation over $10,000, and giving false documents to an agent, employee or public official…
