Overdose spike alert issued for 5 RI communities

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Department of Health issued an overdose spike alert for five communities Monday due to an increase in drug overdoses.

Health officials said between March 2 and March 8, more non-fatal overdoses were reported in Cranston, Burrillville, Foster, Glocester, and Scituate.
