PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Three families were forced from their homes after a fire broke out Monday afternoon in Pawtucket.
Firefighters responding to 75 Fountain St. just after 12 p.m. were met with heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the multi-family home. Battalion Chief Michael Polacek said crews were on scene within minutes of getting the call, but the home was already engulfed.
