Dighton-Rehoboth students could get extra summertime as school district’s waiver approved

(WJAR) — The last day of school for the Dighton-Rehoboth School District was moved from June 30 to June 26, a change that many parents were happy to see.

It was set for a late date after several missed school days from this year’s blizzard, but school leaders had wanted students to have a longer summer.

“We’re excited to get a little more summer for the kids,” said Sarah Dussault, a Dighton-Rehoboth parent. “To have to wait and come back on a Monday wouldn’t have felt good for anybody.”…
