Gov. McKee highlights budget proposal to create child tax credit

EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WJAR) — Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee highlighted a budget proposal to create the state’s first child tax credit at an event on Wednesday.

Leaders gathered at Littletrax Early Learning Center in East Providence to discuss McKee’s proposal.

According to officials, the child tax credit would deliver around $30 million in relief to families.
