PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — State Rep. David Morales’s campaign released results of an internal poll this week that said he’s leading incumbent Mayor Brett Smiley six months before Providence Democratic primary voters cast their ballots.
The poll, done by Data for Progress, found Morales at 45% and Smiley at 34% among 306 likely Democratic primary voters. Michael English, who’s also running in the primary, received 1% in the poll, while 19% of respondents were undecided.
