Fall River lawyer facing charge after alleged incident at Charlton Memorial Hospital

A Fall River lawyer is facing a charge after an alleged incident that took place at a local hospital.

According to a police narrative, on March 11th a special state police officer was made aware that an unidentified party had threatened to stab unidentified staff in the Emergency Department on March 7th at approximately 11:30 at Charlton Memorial Hospital.

The officer then proceeded to the emergency department and spoke to the charge nurse who was working during the incident. She stated that the patient, 69-year-old Kenneth Mello, had disrupted the emergency room, loudly objecting to his treatment and yelling that he should not be crossed because he was a lawyer.
