Lottery contractor extends Providence headquarters lease through 2036 under new FM ownership

The gambling company that exclusively supplies Rhode Island’s lottery equipment will remain at its downtown Providence headquarters through at least 2036.

Brightstar Lottery announced Wednesday it signed a nine-year lease with the new owner of the 10-story glass and metal building overlooking the Providence Place mall and the Rhode Island State House.

The agreement with Johnston-based insurance giant FM gives Brightstar the option to extend the term of the lease for an additional seven years, according to the announcement. A copy of the lease agreement was not made available…
