Supply shock drives up gas prices as expert warns of more increases ahead

WARWICK, R.I. (WJAR) — Shock. That’s what many Rhode Islanders are feeling when they get to the pumps these days, and it is “supply shock” that is driving up those gas prices.

At stations on Post Road in Warwick, regular gas hit $4.49 a gallon Monday, setting drivers back as much as $50 to $60 for a tank.
