Rhode Island set to host Women’s Professional Soccer for the first time this weekend

FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — For the first time in Rhode Island’s history, professional women’s soccer is coming to the state, as the Boston Legacy will host the Seattle Reign on Friday at Centreville Bank Stadium.

The Legacy are one of two expansion teams new to the National Women’s Soccer League, and will play in Pawtucket while Boston Stadium (Gillette Stadium) hosts World Cup matches. This Friday is one of seven matches to be held at Centreville Bank Stadium.
