A change in ownership could be coming to four Western Beef supermarkets on Long Island. Stores in Carle Place, West Hempstead, Elmont and Roosevelt are reportedly included in a purchase by Food Bazaar’s parent company.
Bogopa Service Corp., which operates Food Bazaar, is under contract to buy 14 of Western Beef’s 19 stores. The transaction is expected to close within weeks, although financial terms have not been disclosed.
