Buffalo, NY — A winter weather advisory remains in effect for much of western New York, with mixed precipitation expected to impact travel and cause potential power outages through 1 a.m. Monday.
According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, Oswego County could see 4 to 9 inches of snow and sleet, along with up to a quarter-inch of ice accumulation. Winds may gust as high as 50 mph, potentially downing tree branches and causing isolated outages.
Niagara and Orleans counties are forecasted to receive 3 to 6 inches of snow and sleet, with similar ice accumulations and gusts up to 45 mph. Meanwhile, Monroe, Erie, Genesee, and surrounding counties could see 3 to 6 inches of snow, two-tenths of an inch of ice, and 50 mph wind gusts…
