STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A recent report by AccuWeather indicates that the Northeast, including New York, is in store for more moderate weather conditions in the coming days.
After a week of bitter cold in New York City — where temperatures dipped as low as 16 degrees on Staten Island — the weekend will bring some relief. Sunday and Monday will both see highs in the 40s, before Tuesday brings around a high of 52 degrees, as forecast by the National Weather Service.
The average high temperature in the Central Park area this time of year is 43 to 44 degrees, according to National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration data.
