Riders on some local NYC bus routes will see more service this summer

NEW YORK CITY (PIX11) — Riders in the outer boroughs will see changes to 16 local bus routes.

The MTA and New York Governor Kathy Hochul announced additional service for routes in Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island beginning June 29.

More Transit News

They say it’s in addition to enhanced express bus service on eight lines that went into effect earlier this year.

The agency says the we were chosen based on higher ridership and to cover areas underserved by the subway system.
