Police Chase Ends In Arrests Following Two-day Pursuit Across New York

A high-speed chase involving numerous law enforcement agencies resulted in the arrest of two individuals after a two-day series of events across New York.

On April 16, 2025, around 11:16 p.m., state police responded to State Route 190 in Plattsburgh to assist US Customs and Border Protection with a vehicle pursuit. Authorities spotted a gray 2019 Chevrolet racing southbound. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, State Police, and Customs and Border Protection chased the car, which lost control near the intersection of State Route 190 and State Route 374 and left the road.

Two suspects escaped into a wooded area, sparking a foot chase. The Clinton County Sheriff’s Department captured one suspect, 25-year-old Peter Ibrahim Habib Soliman of Staten Island, New York. Soliman was transported to the US Customs and Border Protection for interrogation. The search for the second occupant was initially ineffective…
