NEW YORK (PIX11) – Some New Yorkers are getting checks in the mail through the state’s school tax relief program (STAR), Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Wednesday.
Most homeowners making below $500,000 could get between $350 and $600, while seniors with incomes under $107,300 are eligible to receive $700 to $1,500. Some recipients may have already gotten their benefits as a tax exemption, according to Hochul.
