A report was issued from the National Weather Service on Tuesday at 6:28 p.m. for strong thunderstorms until 7 p.m. for the Bronx and Queens as well as Nassau County.
The storms are forecast to bring marble-sized hail (0.5 inches) and wind gusts of up to 30 mph.
“At 6:28 p.m., Doppler radar tracked a strong thunderstorm over Great Neck, moving east at 15 mph,” says the weather service. “Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to outdoor objects is possible.”…
