Short heatwave Thursday through Saturday New York Pennsylvania & storms for the weekend

The core of this magnificent dry air mass is virtually overhead today. We woke up to lows in the low to middle 60s in warmer urban areas and lots of 50s inland. Dew points remain very low today in the 50s and in some cases barely at 50. We have lots of sunshine covering much of the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states. Temperatures this afternoon will top in the low to middle 80s. Cooler 70s will prevail along the shore as a light southeast wind develops. Nothing more than some passing clouds forecast for tonight with most lows in the 60s except for 50s in some inland locations. Radars are nice and quiet today and are forecast to remain so pretty much through the rest of the week. The dry air mass holds on through the first part of Wednesday but a south wind will start to bring humidity levels up a bit, though it will not be what I would consider to be uncomfortable. Wednesday looks to be partly to mostly sunny with high temperatures reaching the middle to a few upper 80s. Shore locations will see temperatures a bit cooler thanks to the south wind.
