BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — The video fills the screen with beautiful images as the words flow, “Coney Island is ready for renewal. New York is ready for a world-class casino.”
They’re rolling the dice to create a casino in Coney Island. The prospective developers of the multi-billion-dollar entertainment and gaming complex met in Brooklyn with members of an advisory committee of the state gaming commission.
It’s the first of 8 meetings scheduled with the eight applicants for three downstate casinos. Developers told members of the committee that their project would create much-needed jobs in the Coney Island area…
