In the aftermath of the Midtown shooting, Gov. Kathy Hochul called for other states to adopt stronger gun laws in an interview on “Inside City Hall” Wednesday, saying they should be modeled after New York’s laws, which she called “the toughest gun laws in the nation.”
“If every state, on their own, followed what we’re doing, they could also claim to be safe states,” she added.
“We also have the lowest homicide rate with use of guns of anywhere in the nation of the large states,” she added. “The laws are working. The data proves there’s more people walking our streets and are alive today because our gun laws are protecting them.”…
