Flushing company recalls kimchi sold in NY, NJ

FLUSHING, N.Y. (PIX11) — A Flushing-based company has recalled packages of kimchi due to undeclared milk and shrimp, according to the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets.

The recall involves 57-ounce packages of “Stewed Aged Kimchi with Mackerel,” produced by Lee K of NY, INC., that have been distributed to supermarkets in New York and New Jersey.

The product comes in a black-bottomed plastic container labeled with UPC# 273007000000 with an expiration date before Sept. 16.
