STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — It may be a relatively mild fall this year.
Temperatures are forecast to generally trend above-normal across the entirety of New York from October through December, according to the latest seasonal temperature outlook by the National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center.
The outlook, issued on Sept. 18, claims that the majority of the state – from the Mohawk valley on west and north – has a 40-50% chance of temperatures leaning above average this fall. Meanwhile, the easternmost ends of the state, including New York City, Long Island and the Capital District are forecast with a 50-60% likelihood of temperatures exceeding their average from October through December…
