NEW YORK (PIX11) — For one month, more than 100 colleges and universities in New York will offer free application submissions.
SUNY, CUNY, and dozens of private colleges and universities will waive their application fees for a limited time beginning in October, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Monday. On average, application fees for colleges and universities can range from $50 to $90 each.

Waiver periods will differ for institutions beginning with SUNY, which will offer five free applications from Oct. 20 through Nov. 3. CUNY schools will waive applications for NYC high school students from Oct. 27 through Nov. 21 and then for students outside of NYC from Nov. 10 to Nov. 21.
