BROOKLYN, N.Y. (PIX11) — The NAACP held a rally on Sunday in Brooklyn in support of New York Attorney General Letitia James, days after being arraigned on federal charges.
Letitia James spoke to supporters, making it clear she’s fighting back, saying, “I want to thank all of you for having my back because I didn’t elect a king and I don’t bow to a king.”

The rally was held at the First Baptist church in Crown Heights.
“Powerful people in Washington are seeking to silence truth; they’re seeking to punish decent and to weaponize justice for political gain,” said James, referring to the federal bank fraud charges filed earlier this month to which she pleaded not guilty during her arraignment.Among those at the rally, community groups, union leaders, public advocate Jumaane Williams, and Congressman Hakeem Jeffries, “we will stand with Tisch James until these baseless charges are dismissed, and justice is served,” adding, “she’s Brooklyn’s dream and Donald Trump’s worst nightmare.”…
