The New York Lottery’s Million Dollar Raffle drawing held on Oct. 26 resulted in over a dozen new millionaires.
Fifteen tickets worth $1 million each were sold around the state, part of 5,505 winning tickets overall, the lottery announced. The special drawing was in honor of the Erie Canal’s bicentennial.
Prizes:
- 15 tickets won $1 million, sold at retailers in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Dutchess, Genesee, Schenectady, Steuben, Suffolk, Chenango, and Westchester counties. Each retailer that sold a $1 million ticket will receive a $5,000 bonus.
- 15 tickets won $100,000
- 15 tickets won $25,000
- 5,460 tickets won $200
The winning tickets were drawn from ticket numbers 1,208,648 through 2,000,000, with ticket number 2,000,000 being the first sold.
