N.Y. weather: Nor’easter-like gusty winds, heavy rains and flooding possible over coming days

Staten Island residents can expect gusty northeast winds Tuesday with highs in the mid to upper 50s, according to the National Weather Service. A few light rain showers are possible, but conditions will remain mainly dry through Tuesday.

Wind gusts of 25 to 30 mph are expected to develop Tuesday along coastal areas as pressure gradients steepen between high pressure in Southeast Canada and low pressure moving into the Atlantic. The breezy conditions, combined with increasing clouds this afternoon, will keep temperatures cooler with highs reaching only the mid to upper 50s
