N.Y. weather: Frigid temperatures could bring light snow, freezing rain to NYC

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Staten Island residents should prepare for extremely cold temperatures Friday with highs only reaching the low to mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service.

There’s a slight chance for light snow or freezing rain late Friday into Saturday morning.

The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures will bottom out in the teens and lower 20s Friday morning across Staten Island and New York City, with some daily record lows potentially being set.
