Friday snowstorm, anyone? Parts of NY, NJ could see up to 8 inches

It won’t be a white Christmas. But it will be a white weekend — at least around here.

There is increasing confidence in accumulating snow for the tri-state area Friday into Saturday, with models forecasting at least 3 inches for the immediate New York City area and more elsewhere.

Spots north and west of the five boroughs, including northeastern New Jersey, the Lower Hudson Valley, and southwestern Connecticut, may see up to 8 inches of snow. Those areas should at least get 5 inches…
