More than 300 customers who ordered from a New York furniture store are eligible for a refund in a new $350,000 settlement.
New York Attorney General Letitia James secured the settlement from Payless Furniture Inc., doing business as 1StopBedrooms, a Brooklyn-based furniture store.
It came after the Office of the Attorney General received hundreds of complaints from consumers against 1StopBedrooms for excessive delivery delays, exorbitant cancellation fees, falsely promoting 30-day “hassle-free” returns and delivery of damaged furniture with no opportunity for a full refund or exchange…
