ARVERNE, Queens (PIX11) — Plans are underway for a residential building that will contain affordable housing in the Rockaways, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced on Friday.
The $278 million project is being built on vacant land that was affected by Superstorm Sandy.

Known as Averne East Building D, the building will contain 230 affordable rental units and 90 affordable co-op units.
