CM Wong introduces six bills to improve quality of life, public safety and transparency

Council Member Phil Wong announced the introduction of six pieces of legislation on Thursday, April 30, focused on improvements in quality of life, public safety and transparency across city government, with a direct impact on neighborhoods throughout District 30 — an area that covers Maspeth, Glendale, Middle Village, Ridgewood, Rego Park and Elmhurst.

The six bills — Intro 885, Intro 886, Intro 887, Intro 888, Intro 889 and Intro 890 — arose from constituent concerns that reflect the community’s most pressing issues. The District 30 representative sought to further address them with his newly introduced measures.

“These six bills focus on the basics that matter to New Yorkers: safer streets, cleaner neighborhoods, and a government that’s transparent and accountable,” said Wong in a statement. “Whether it’s cracking down on overnight truck parking, bringing clarity to school funding, or improving oversight of public safety and city services, this is about addressing real issues we hear every day in our communities.”…
