Word Tabernacle Church continues to extend its vision of “Everyone Thriving” beyond the walls of the church and into places where hope, healing and restoration are deeply needed.
On a recent Saturday, the church’s prison ministry served 64 men at Central Prison in Raleigh, ministering to both the general population and men housed on death row. Through worship, biblical teaching, prayer and spiritual encouragement, 26 men made decisions for salvation or rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ.
For the ministry, this work is not simply about holding monthly services. It is part of a larger commitment to walk alongside individuals and their families with dignity, compassion, biblical truth and practical support. In addition to Central Prison, the ministry currently serves at Roanoke Correctional Institution and Nash Correctional Institution, with plans to continue expanding its prison and reentry work throughout the region…
