Clayton Library To Celebrate Grand Reopening July 11

CLAYTON, N.C. — After months of renovations, the Hocutt-Ellington Memorial Library is ready to welcome the community back with a grand reopening celebration.

The Town of Clayton will host the free event from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, July 11, at the library, located at 100 S. Church Street in downtown Clayton.

The celebration comes just days after the library reopens for regular service on Monday, July 6, giving residents an opportunity to explore the renovated facility and its new features.

Visitors will be able to tour the updated library throughout the day, including newly added study rooms, a laptop bar, expanded seating areas and redesigned book collections intended to make browsing easier. Library staff will be available to answer questions and explain how the renovations improve services for patrons.

The grand reopening also highlights the library’s summer reading program, “Unearth a Story,” which is open to children, teens and adults. Residents can register for the challenge during the event and receive personalized book recommendations from library staff…
