A child has suffered life-threatening injuries after possibly drowning in the Neuse River on Tuesday, the Wake County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies responded to the area of the Neuse River Greenway and Loch Raven Parkway about 11:30 a.m., according to a news release. Witnesses reported seeing a girl swimming in the Neuse River and failing to resurface after going under, the release said.
