A round of severe storms has caused significant damage in Wake County.
Two homes were struck by lightning on Althorp Drive in north Raleigh off Louisburg Road. The lightning strikes caused fires, but there was minimal damage, fire officials said, and no injuries were reported. One family was displaced for the evening.
