A movie was filmed in the Triangle — and now it’s popular on streaming.
“The One Next Door” is trending on the entertainment platform Tubi after it premiered Friday, July 10. All of the scenes were shot last summer in North Carolina, and the setting was a change for the Michigan-based filmmakers.
“It was a wonderful experience but it was extremely hot,” Tonja Ayers, writer, producer and co-director of the film, told The N&O in a Wednesday, July 22 email. “Even the natives said it was hotter than usual. It was 100 to 102 almost every day that we filmed. The cities were beautiful and the people were so nice.”…
