ZEBULON — Zebulon Communications Director Heather Louise Finch has earned her Advanced Public Information Officer certification after completing the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Advanced Public Information Officer course through the National Disaster & Emergency Management University, part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
The advanced course is designed for public information professionals who lead or support communications during complex emergencies and large-scale incidents. The training covered crisis and emergency communication, Joint Information Center operations, media relations, strategic messaging and the coordination of timely and accurate information for the public.
